I have been trying to set up media sharing between my Playstation 3 and my computer for two full days now.
I have tried Winamp Remote, TVersity and Windows Media Player 11 and all three behave the same way.
When I click on the folders holding my albums, for example, I'm only able to see a small portion of what I actually have on my computer. And, the same error, "A DLNA Protocol Error (2104) Has Occurred" keeps popping up in the top right corner.
I've gone through every single step listed on the internet. Is this just a bug with Vista that cannot be fixed? Since this happens on all three programs, I know it's not just one of those. I've also ruled out the possibility of it being related to the internet security software. Nothing changes when I have the firewall turned off.
At times I'll get a new chunk of albums (10 - 20) loaded on the screen, but it's going so slow it's ridiculous. I can't imagine it works this slow for anyone else out there enjoying this software. I have about 800 something albums of music. At the rate it's populating on my PS3 it would take over 6 hours to complete. I don't believe people out there are doing this every time they turn on their machine.
What's going on here?
